Obelisk truing machines

The Obelisk is a rapid, trouble-free and highly user-friendly truing machine with two nipple keys. It represents a multidisciplinary development of the centering principle for laced bicycle wheels. The Obelisk has a user-friendly graphical operator interface; with the same menu structure as the BMD lacing machine. In this way the operator only has to learn the systém once and can then easily operate the different machines. Use of modern techniques, such as noncontact measuring systems, brushless servo-motors without gearbox, and digital control, mean that the Obelisk is maintenance-free and can be set with great accuracy. With a production speed of 40 to 100 wheels per hour, the Obelisk is one of the fastest machines of its type. Optionally the machine can be equipped with a stabilization unit.

The spoke tensiometer, is a convenient portable system for efficient measurement of the spoke tension in a wheel. For instance for the purpose of spot checks during production. With the BMD spoke tensiometer, you no longer have to consult tables or enter the spoke material. After a complete wheel has been measured, the measurement values can be read at the push of a button. The values of the various wheels are stored and can be consulted at a later stage or printed on a label. They may also be stored and processed in the optional spoke tension software.
