Carousel

The BMD Carrousel is a system to store large amounts of wheels in a small volume.

Carrousel systems were developed trough the years as storage systems for wheels. BMD developed a next generation system that can fit in of after the production line. By doing this it is possible to regulate the production flow between the different machines without interfeering overall production time.

Normally long linear tracks are used increasing the chance to damage the wheel. One carrousel can store the same as a twelf meter long track. That only on a space of 1,8 meter in diameter.

Due to its flexible setup one carrousel can store up to 14 wheels. The wheels are detected and the carrousel will move ahead and set a free slot ready to be filled.

Using the Carrousel after the truing machine will enable a good storage place for wheels that than in sequence can be fitted with a tire.

The machine is constructed with hard wood or plastic guides to give maximum protection to the wheel surfaces.
