Glue application lacing machine.
This additional application on the lacing machines makes it possible to add spoke prep to the spoke in an automatic easy way.
Spoke prep is an old, well tested method giving additional holding force between the nipple and spoke. This is in some cases desired in other cases a must.
In the past line seed oil was used for this application. Today there are different solutions. This spoke prep can be added by hand or by some kind of liquid prep. We use Loctite in our application, this is well tested and widely available.
The above application is preferred over any other solution. There are systems available that do this to the nipple head or the spoke side. In either solution the spoke prep is not where is should be. The BMD sequence puts the spoke prep where it is most functional, between the thread of the spoke and the nipple where they are in optimal contact. Other systems hope that the spoke prep will go there and are never sure if it is done properly.
- Unit can be added to any BMD lacing machine
- Automated sequence, doses a set amount of Loctite for every spoke insertion
- Setup per wheel type and amounts
