HCF Test Machine

Compliance with a wide range of safety requirements is becoming increasingly important.  EN standards are becoming ever more stringent.  Consider long term liability for manufacturing defects, known as vicarious liability.  It may therefore be important to subject your products to extensive endurance testing.  Testing also a marketing instrument that shows your products meets the newest standards.

Endurance testing of bicycles and bicycle components has been expensive and time consuming.  We offer you an affordable, effective solution with a series of HCF (High Cycle Fatigue) test rigs.  Each setup is able to perform more than a million load tests a day.  HCF testing machines operate more accurately than pneumatic testing systems.

Various types of bicycle components can be tested using specialized adapters. Standard test rigs are available for frames, front forks, handlebars, stems, saddle supports and pedals.

The modular system means that in addition to our standard test rigs we can also design and manufacture rigs to specific customer requirements.

When the computer system is used, the user is guided through a standard procedure in setting up the test, resulting in a highly reproducible test procedure.

The great convenience of the graphical user interface helps to make the system simple to operate,  The collected data is available for review and stored for future reference.  The system makes is possible to monitor and analyze the progress of the test accurately.  After completion of the test the data is stored in an encrypted file that protects the data from unauthorized use.  This method of data storage provides a high level guarantee of reliability of the data over a long period with the integrity of the data being paramount.

Complete Bicycle Drum Test Machine

The machine is constructed in accordance to the current EN norms and additionally the German “DIN+” standard.

The machine tests a fully loaded bicycle according to standard.  It includes all the weights and suspension.  In the automated system the sequence can be set either accordingly to the EN standards or according to your own desired sequence.

For each sequence there are three different height points in the drums available.  The drums (front and rear) are controlled independently.  This means they can be set to be in sequence or at random.  They will drive the wheels in a random sequence and the set blocks will load the bicycle accordingly.

In the testing database there are 32 separate waypoints available, additionally a time span can be set for each independent waypoint or independent test distance.

The bicycle is secured in the protective frame and moved over the drums.  The bicycle is fully loaded next to the machine and moved with an electrical overhead crane in to the machine; there it is strapped and fixed accordingly.  Additionally the safety switches to the different parts are connected to ensure shut down if there is a material failure.  The outside frame is constructed from aluminum with Lexan (crash proof) windows for security.

Brake Test Machine

In every means of transport the brakes are very important, in dry conditions and even more so in wet. Major differences in brake performance can occur if incorrect brake pad and rim combinations are used.

It is therefore of the utmost importance for the safety of the user as well as the producer, to test the complete braking assembly.

We have developed an easily adjustable machine that can test fully assembled bicycles. With the modular graphic computer controlled software, it is possible to test according to various standards.
